Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Her parents a dental surgeon and teacher recognized and backed her love for acting and theatre at an early age, which was more important than a desire to become a primatologist thanks to her passion for monkeys. She rose to prominence as a child actress quickly and enjoyed huge popularity and success. Following her graduation and acting, she appeared on the French talent-spotting TV show Jeunes Premiers that was sponsored by Canal+. She won the award for the best young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her acting career. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church as a young girl and was raised Catholic. She has since gotten away from the Catholic tradition. As well as her acting profession she also pursued a modelling career. Also, she is the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. In the past, during Arles Arts Festival, Arles Arts Festival, she showed a collection of photographs under the heading Superficial. Through her photography, she focuses primarily on celebrity and the spotlight. The camera's focus is at journalists, who sat and watched her rise to the heights of fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's very first major role, as Amelie Poulain's main actress in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie, landed the actress international fame. Amelie has been an international box office success and praised at many award festivals around the globe. It is currently the highest-grossing French language movie across the US. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in numerous movies ranging including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
